Subject: [Taclug-General] November Taclug Meeting Reminder
Taclug is tomorrow, Saturday, November 17 and we have an exciting line
up of events. In addition to our meeting the Grey Hat Group, a student
computer security group at UWT, will be hosting a Cyber Defense
workshop. Because of the Cyber Defense Workshop Taclug will start a
half hour later usual, at 1:00 PM.
The Cyber Defense workshop will be held at UWT on Saturday, November
17, from 10:00 to 1:00. Anyone is welcome to attend--students,
faculty, staff, friends, relatives, anyone interested in the technical
aspects of network security. This workshop will be a Network Mapping
Challenge with an expected focus on Nessus and Nmap. It will start in
the Embedded lab, Cherry Parks 206D. Linux experience helpful, but not
required. Participants who already have network mapping software on
their laptops, will be able to use their own machine. Questions
regarding the Cyber Defense workshop can be directed to Don McLane at
dmclane at u.washington.edu
Taclug will be held at UWT on Saturday, November 17, from 1:00 to 4:30

hack session on building WiFi captive portals and Joel Carlson will be
hosting a hack session on Linux virtualization technologies.
