There are a few issues to contend with.
* No location will serve everyone perfectly.
* Weekend meeting space is not easy (or often, cheap) to come by.
* Despite the assertion, I doubt that "most" members are from north Seattle. And even if they were, we should be striving to grow our membership and thusly the diversity of our members' locations.
Downtown Seattle is at the center of the region. It's as convenient as anyone could possibly expect for those who need to take ferries. It's incredibly easy to reach from both north and south of Seattle by way of Highway 99 and I-90. It's easy to reach from the east side by way of 520 and I-90. Additionally, there are numerous businesses downtown who are friendly to our cause.
And most importantly, Speakeasy is offering us space (and food)! Why in the world would we turn them down?
