[Gslug-general] liberal licenses

I think that is a "public domain" statement, though he should have used
that phrase explicitly.    

Any of the OSI-compliant licenses will allow commercial use.   All
require you provide the source code if you pass it along (public
domain doesn't).  Most require attribution (public domain doesn't).

I've released stuff to public domain, but it freaked out potential
users, so my defaults are LGPL for code and "share-alike" (Creative
Commons) for content.
