I was thinking it would be nice to set times for people to get on a
quick communication medium like Voice services such as Skype or even
team speak or text based services like IRC or other chat room services.
General meetings online like this could for one, encourage people to go
to real life meetings. Two, it would allow for more follow-ups after
real meetings as well create new topics for meetings. Three) People from
out of town could attend, maybe even get caught up on the last meeting
as well as draw more interest for the group from outside the tri-cities.
So that we might eventually be able to setup and plan conventions.
I might be a good idea or just a pipe dream. Either way I thought I
would share it. It would be nice if Seattle could be known as the
technology place that it once was in the 80's.
